Robots and concrete form an innovative composition. The robot cell provides unique possibilities to test a wide range of manufacturing methods in new and alternative formworks for concrete. Furthermore the robot cell is able to apply form coating or other coating very accurately to the formwork. This is why a lot of the testing activities of the project Unique Concrete Structures will be made at the robot cell.
The robot cell is delivered by Giben Scandinavia. It is a sixaxial “Fanuc” robot with a reach of 2.5 metres and a lifting capacity of 165 kg. The robot cell is able to operate together with a wide range of tools, which provides the possibility of many different manufacturing methods.
